About Prompts and Writing

Note: The Daily Post site ended daily prompts at the end of May, 2018.

The Daily Post is a site that provides writing and photography prompts to help get the creative juices flowing, and to help us develop and fine tune the habit of writing and being creative every day.

Daily Prompts
Sometimes, you sit down to blog but your words and photos get stuck — prompts give them a push. We publish a new one every morning.

Photo Challenges
Whether you take photos with an iPhone or a full-frame DSLR, you’re welcome to participate in our photo challenges. A new theme is announced every Friday.

This site is my, Fluffy’s, attempt to accept the challenges. I treat these prompts as jumping off points only and may digress. I sometimes use other prompts, but like the Daily Prompts for the consistency and community.

Sometimes the Characters Take Over
I find many of the characters I write about coming back to tell new stories, or mingle with characters from other stories. So if you read the stories from the beginning, you might find old friends or references popping up again.

There seems to be a community of people and animals being created here.
